NASHVILLE, TN - September 1, 2005 - The highly successful Christian
ministry series version of the Dooley and Pals program, as seen on TBN
and Daystar television networks internationally, will be releasing
Volumes 1 and 2 on DVD September 27, 2005 through a partnership
between The New York Networks, Inc., Little Heart Entertainment,
Wardley Investments, Ltd., and Infinity Music and Central South
Distribution.
"My mission for Dooley and Pals," shares Mark Riddle, President and
CEO of Little Heart Entertainment, "was for the show to reach out to
young children and create entertainment that would awaken young minds
to the joy of learning."
Dooley and Pals is a unique children's show built on the concept of
education through entertainment and discovery. With its colorful cast
of characters, the series is created on the premise that play is the
central activity of young children. Designed to entertain and educate
two to eight year olds, the Dooley and Pals show combines live action
with 3D animation, talented children, dozens of original songs and
loveable space creatures.
Dooley is a friendly space creature who lands in the back yard of an
Earth family and quickly makes friends with the neighborhood children.
New to our planet, Dooley is on a journey of discovery with the
children as guides. By the conclusion of each episode, Dooley and his
many pals have learned more about their world, their relationships and
their feelings. The cast also includes M.A.R.T.I.E. the robot, space
creatures Cosmos and Zoom, neighborhood kids and regular guests such
as the mail lady, veterinarian and more.
"The Dooley and Pals series incorporates creative, fun and imaginative
strategies — all designed to stimulate basic growth and development,"
says Executive Producer David E. Walsh. "It encompasses an overlapping
range of areas, from cognitive to social/emotional, creative to
physical, communication to moral and the development of problem-
solving skills."
The Christian ministry version of Dooley and Pals is broadcast both
domestically and internationally on TBN and Daystar networks. The
Christian ministry series is unique from the original show because it
includes a "Bible Fun Facts" segment, which features teachings from
the Old Testament. The secular version of the show is produced and
distributed by The New York Networks, Inc. in the US and
internationally by Cooke Television Programs of Toronto, Canada.
Dooley and Pals was filmed at the Disney/MGM Studios in Orlando,
Florida. The show features the talents of Emmy Award-winning and
nominated children’s television writers, Terrence Taylor (High
Feather, 3-2-1) and Eleanor Burian-Mohr (Inspector Gadget). In
addition, more than seventy of the songs were created by Grammy and
Emmy Award-winning composer, Dennis Scott (Sesame Street Country,
Elmopalooza) and Great Russel (Camp Tanglefoot).
"Dooley and Pals is unique as a series by its use of the principle of
reinforcement," said Dr. Gordon Berry, Educational Consultant and
Professor Emeritus at the Graduate School of Education, UCLA. "The
life lessons in each episode will be carried throughout the show and
then summarized in a distinct ending."
Volume 1 includes the episodes "A New Friend" and "Be Good to Your
Mother", while Volume 2 features "Family Circle" and "Rainy Day
Blues". Both volumes include a bonus music video. Dooley and Pals
Volumes 1 and 2 are .99 each and will be available at retail stores
nationwide on September 27, 2005.
