NEW YORK, NY - December 30, 2005 - Spring 2005 saw a big increase in
popularity for Ballroom and Latin dancing when ABC introduced the new
reality show, "Dancing with the Stars". The show was a huge success at
it soared to number one in prime time TV on ABC averaging 17 million
viewers a week, and lured more than 22 million viewers for the July 6
finale as soap actor Kelly Monaco (General Hospital) outdanced former
Seinfeld actor John O'Hurley.

The new season begins on January 5, 2006, with a few brand new stars.
In the series, the stars are paired with professional ballroom dancers
and one couple gets eliminated each week until the winning pair is
announced.

In conjunction with a blitz of commercial advertisements showing
previews of the new star dancers, ABC has recruited a couple of
hundred dancers from Los Angeles and New York City to dance at
different locations in those two cities for promotional purposes.
Those dancers would be viewed dancing to the sounds of the Foxtrot,
the Tango, the Swing and the Salsa.

Needing a surplus of good dancers, ABC contacted Dance Chelsea, who
trained the New York University ballroom dancers. The school is proud
to recommend some of the best dancers from NYU to represent them. The
quality of their dancing speaks well of Dance Chelsea, who has trained
them for years.

Dance Chelsea offers dance lessons for all levels, all ages, and all
styles. Students receive dance instruction in Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot,
Viennese Waltz, Quickstep, Cha-Cha, Samba, Rumba, Jive, Swing, Mambo,
Bolero, Hustle, and Salsa. They also offer children's ballroom dance
classes.

Dancers who take Ballroom and Latin dance lessons at the Chelsea Dance
Studios are treated like royalty. A friendly and patient staff makes
sure that students feel completely at home. They address dancing
needs and make sure that they are achieved. Regardless of whether
students wish to be a good social dancer, competitive dancer or even
if they want to learn a dance for their wedding, the instructors plan
a program so that students can meet and achieve their goals.

For those who have never danced before, the Studio holds an Open House
twice a week where a prospective student can drop by any Tuesday or
Friday at 8:20pm to check out the Studio and participate in a free
group lesson.
