WEST ORANGE, NJ - March 6, 2005 - With an extensive database including
call letters, genre/format, and contact information for more than
13,000 radio stations throughout the United States, On The Radio.net
puts a unique spin on radio advertising by offering radio listeners
and advertisers the ability to locate radio advertising information
that was unavailable prior to its launch. Created in 2004 to help
radio listeners find phone numbers and websites for commercials
broadcast on the radio, On The Radio.net has evolved to allow users
access to its recently expanded database of radio station information.
"On The Radio.net could arguably be the biggest and most exciting
phenomenon to dawn on radio advertising since the advent of radio
itself," says creator and CEO, Don Vincent Preziosi. "The benefits of
On The Radio.net are numerous, and just about anyone can use this
powerful new tool."
A common scenario is a listener who hears an interesting radio
commercial and recalls only the date the commercial aired but not the
name or phone number for the advertiser. A commercial search at On The
Radio.net using the selected criteria, for example, the date and time
the commercial aired, or the state in which it was broadcast, will
generate a list of advertisers who are registered with On The
Radio.net and the commercial aired with criteria matching the user's
search terms. The same applies to any advertiser, or listener, seeking
information about a radio station that caters to a particular
audience: a list of stations registered with On The Radio.net within a
65-mile radius will be displayed that matches the specified criteria.
Advertiser and radio station registration with On The Radio.net is
free.
Radio stations registered with On The Radio.net receive free
advertising. All searches for commercials and advertisers conducted
through the service are accompanied by art bins, which contain an
image and/or logo of four radio stations within the metropolitan area
the user selected. These images are direct links to each radio
station's website, which essentially means free advertising for
registered radio stations.
"It's a win-win situation for advertisers, radio stations, and
listeners," says Preziosi. "And name recognition is what makes it so
successful: Where did you hear it? On the Radio. Where are you looking
for it? On the Internet. On The Radio.net"
In the coming months, On The Radio.Net will launch a song title and
artist search allowing users access to playlists for radio stations
registered with the service.
